My matte nails

So I finally bought some Matte nail polish by OPI and I really like it. I got 2 colors, a fuchsia pinkish color and a dark brown/black color. I love the way the polish looks on my nails buuuttt the bad thing is that it isn't very durable. The polish will almost completely chip off after 1 day ]=. I bought a matte top coat by Essie that just came in the mail yesterday so we'll see how it works.

Going up to the Bay area today. There's been too much traveling lately, and its not goin to stop. 5 weeks in Palo Alto, then a week in Hawaii, then back to LA for 3 weeks and finally back to Santa Cruz for the new school year. Not looking forward to all the packing and unpacking...which I have to do now..!

I'm really into the new nail trends. Right now the trend is skittle colored nails, which I am a fan of. The new trend for the fall will be matte colored nails. Ill post a pic of my new nails soon [=

Someone said i was turning into a hipster today. Hmm what the heck does that mean?


Hipster: Listens to bands that you have never heard of. Has hairstyle that can only be described as "complicated." (Most likely achieved by a minimum of one week not washing it.) Probably tattooed. Maybe gay. Definitely cooler than you. Reads Black Book, Nylon, and the Styles section of the New York Times. Drinks Pabst Blue Ribbon. Often. Complains. Always denies being a hipster. Hates the word. Probably living off parents money - and spends a great deal of it to look like they don't have any. Has friends and/or self cut hair. Dyes it frequently (black, white-blonde, etc. and until scalp bleeds). Has a closet full of clothing but usually wears same three things OVER AND OVER (most likely very tight black pants, scarf, and ironic tee-shirt). Chips off nail polish artfully after $50 manicure. Sleeps with everyone and talks about it at great volume in crowded coffee shops. Addicted to coffee, cigarettes (Parliaments, Kamel Reds, Lucky Strikes, etc.), and possibly cocaine. Claims to be in a band. Rehearsals consist of choosing outfits for next show and drinking PBR. Always on the list. Majors or majored in art, writing, or queer studies. Name-drops. May go by "Penny Lane," "Eleanor Rigby," etc. when drunk. On PBR. Which is usually.



I don't think I fit into this category, although I do think I go to a hipster school...go slugs!

what's goin on?

I haven't been on here for a minute. I was recently introduced by a friend and decided I should stick with this.

So i'm back in LA after being in Santa Cruz and D.C. for the past 4 months. Damn i miss LA! While I was on the east coast everybody was amazed that I was from LA haha. People were like, "You're from LA?! do you see famous people all the time? It must be really cool living in LA!" Yeah its cool but why is there so much hype? I guess I'm used to it here.

Today was a pretty boring ass day but I feel accomplished. I narrowed down my list of possible dental schools I will be attending to 18 haha. Hey its a start. The highlight of my day probably had to be walkin my dogs. Yeah, I love dogs. I got a poodle named Dinno, a chocolate lab named chip, and a maltipoo named kiwi. Aren't they just cute?
