Here's a pic of my nephew Emerson and I from earlier today. I love him and his double chin! Going to pack for a quick trip to Palm Springs tomorrow. Will post pix!

Shopping Tips

I've been doing quite a bit of shopping this week and thought I'd share a few tips from my experience. These suggestions are apply if you know you will be shopping/trying on a lot of clothes during the day..especially if you're looking for a specific outfit for a special occasion.

1. Wear flip flops.
Nothing sucks more than having to take off and put on complicated shoes over and over. Flip flops are great because they're easy to put on and remove. Also, no one wants to be stepping on that dirty floor barefoot.

2. Wear simple clothing.
Having an outfit that's easy to put on and remove can relieve a lot of stress when you have to go to the fitting room often. An example i suggest is a simple cotton tee with leggings, a romper, summer dress etc.

3. Do not take a large/heavy purse.
I made the mistake of taking my big ol purse shopping last time and wow, it really made my shoulder hurt after having arms full of clothes. Take a small purse/bag that has a long enough strap to go over your shoulder so you can use both hands to shop.

4. Do not wear heavy make up.
If you wear lots of make up, many times it rubs off on your clothes as you try them on or remove them. Finding something you like and getting makeup all over it sucks.

5. Bring water.
Many times fitting rooms get hot or you become hot after so much walking and holding clothes. Having water handy will quench your thirst without having to leave a store.

6.Don't always trust the mirror inside the fitting room.
The lighting inside fitting rooms is often very harsh and can make your body seem unpleasant. If there's a larger mirror outside the fitting room use it to get a better sense of what you'll look like in semi-normal lighting.

I hope these tips help and make your shopping experiences better! If you have any other tips please share (:

My #1

Mascara...

I've been using the same mascara since middle school and it has never failed me. Its Maybelline's Full N' Soft Waterproof. I love it!!!!! I always try out other mascaras but nothing compares. Your lashes really become full and soft after applying ;)
