Tea-tree Oil

I was recently introduced to this oil and think it's amazing because of all its uses, this stuff really works. I tend to get flakes and have tried everything, literally...T-gel,  head and shoulders, selsum blue, shampoos from the salon, olive oil treatments etc. I mixed 8 drops of tea-tree oil with my normal shampoo and voila, my dandruff was gone! It was really bad the day before it after I showered and throughout the day it was nowhere to be found. Amazing stuff, you just have to get used to the smell.

Tea tree oil has properties such as antiviral, antifungal, antimicrobial, antiseptic and cosmetic. It is commonly used to treat acne, skin lesions, lice, nail disease, yeast infections, MRSA, dandruff of course and more.

I got a small bottle of tea tree oil at trader joes for $6.99, a small price for its many uses. I have a feeling I'll be using this for the rest of my life.

I love you Steve...

...Madden! Because you make lovely and semi affordable knockoffs! Recently I've been obsessed with a pair of Louboutins, the Lady Daf Platform pumps. I saw that Steve Madden had a similar pair and had to get them. I love them because they go with everything and are surprisingly comfortable. The platform makes them easier to walk in. The only thing I dont like about the shoes is that they're suede..not a big fan because of how easily they get dirty. Other than that, they're amazing!

Primer Potion by Urban Decay

I have never really been good at applying eyeshadow but wanted to get better at it. I started watching some tutorials on you tube (Promise Phan, Michelle Phan, Dulcecandy87) & discovered Urban Decay's Primer Potion. This stuff is magic! You apply it on your eyelids before your eyeshadow. It intensifies the eyeshadow and makes it last 12+ hours, no joke. I use it every day even if I'm only using a small amount of shadow. It works wonders. I feel like I'm a pro ;) I highly recommend it.

Gel nails, my new obsession

Most nail salons now-a-days are using the new gel nail polishes. They're becoming really popular because the polish won't chip and will last you 2-3 weeks! The colors now are great and the polish stays shiny for as long as you have it. The only con about gel polish is that you must go back to a nail salon to remove it, acetone won't do the trick. I didn't believe them when they told me that and tried to remove it myself. Let's just say not a good idea. I took of a layer of my nails by doing that. Here are some pics of my gel nails that I got done yesterday. I chose a coral color and my mom got lavender.

This last pic is when I got them done for the first time in red.

I've been accepted to dental school!

On December 1st I received the best news of my life thus far. I interviewed at three dental schools between october and mid november. The way it works is that Dec 1st is the first official day all dental schools can notify applicants of their acceptance. This is how my day went. I woke up early that morning and checked my email, nothing. I was also constantly checking my phone and making sure it was on loud (some schools call you). I was a little sad so I decided to stop being so impatient and take a nap. I woke up from my nap and bam,  I got an email at 10 am from a school that I interviewed at, saying congratulations, you've been accepted! I was ecstatic! I even shed a tear. I've dreamt of being a dentist since the 10th grade ( approx 8 years) and that moment was really a dream come true. I was still waiting on decisions from the other two schools, anxiously. Time passed quickly and it was almost 3 pm. I was losing hope that I would hear from my dream school while Sione kept reassuring me that there was still time. We got off the phone and I got a bite to eat, sat in my bed and was watching Braxton Family Values (lol). I had gotten a few calls that day and everytime I would hear the phone ring I became very anxious until I knew who it was. While I was watching the show, I heard my phone ring. I took me one second to grab my phone and check who it was. I saw a 415 area code, which is the area code of my dream school!! My heat skipped a beat and I answered. Wow, is all I thought. It was an amazing and surreal moment to hear the dean of my dream school tell me they want me to go to their school! I will never forget that day and thats why I write about it. I am overly excited to start this new phase in my life, I know its going to be great. If you're wondering about the third school, well yesterday I got a letter in the mail from them. Because it was in a standard envelope , I automatically assumed it was a rejection letter. I opened it as fast as I could. It turns out it wasn't a rejection letter! I was waitlisted and shocked because I thought the interview went badly (i cried during, lol). So out of three interviews I got two acceptances and one waitlist, not bad in my books! But I am most definitly going to my dream school in SF!!!!!!!! I love life, and remember dreams do come true if you believe in yourself.

nail inspiration .

I saw this image on pinterest and imediately thought of trying it. I love anything matte. Here's what my nails came out like. I loved the outcome! In the second picture you can see what the color looks like before I added the matte nail polish. I used Essie's Matte About You and an old brown nailpolish.
